BIOGRAPHY
BUM LEE is an animation artist and freelance illustrator. He was born in Seoul, Korea, in 1984, and grew up in northern New Jersey. He studied computer animation with James Duesing at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh where he received his BFA in 2006. Bum spent the following year on a Fulbright grant in South Korea where he studied animation theory with Joon-yang Kim and produced videos and animations. He received an award for excellence from the Asia Digital Art Awards in Fukuoka, Japan, in 2006. His work has been included in Northeastern University’s Visual Music Marathon, Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film, and Brooklyn International Film Festival.
